A Brand New Year

I hope you all had a pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing holiday. It's not much longer until a brand new year is upon us. In the new year, expect the unexpected when it comes to anything Hanley Solid Solutions. There's going to be a lot of things that I'm pretty excited for in the year related to my applications. Exciting updates that make each app even better than before, brand new apps that don't yet exist in my inventory, and many many more. 2013 is going to be an excellent time to be a Hanley Solid Solutions customer (Not that previous years have been a bad time ;) ).

There will be so many new and exciting things I'll be working on, it will be hard to not share in my excitement at least in part.

As always, thanks again for reading this post!

Hope you have a good start to your New Year!

I'm a machine!

I have been churning out app updates over the past few days at a decent pace. Like I mentioned in a previous post, this year is mostly about updating, refining, and fine tuning all my applications, and is less about introducing new applications to the market. Keep your eyes peeled for updates to trickle through both the Mac App Store and the iOS App Store.

Small Update

A small update is now only awaiting approval for Prismium on the Mac. This update is intended to improve the kaleidoscope creation process, and improves the final result of a custom kaleidoscope. It should be going live really soon.

Prismium for iOS... Shakeup #2

Just like Prismium on the Mac, I am hoping to add the ability to create your own kaleidoscopes to the iOS version of Prismium.

Also like on the Mac, I will be doing a large visual overhaul to the iOS version. By the time I finish the update for the iOS version, the two versions of the app will hopefully share similar visual appearances.

So that's yet another future project in the beginning stages for Hanley Solid Solutions. If you've been following this blog or my Twitter feed at all lately, you've probably realized I haven't released a new app for sometime.

This is because I feel this year I should dedicate some extra time to refining and perfecting my existing catalogue of available apps. Call it cleaning, arranging, and polishing if you will.

An example of this would be the recent update to Tuneful Tiger, version 1.4.0. It brought along a simplified user interface, cleaned some things up a bit, and really refined the overall feel of the app as far as consistency and fluidity goes.

A year with views!

Well, it's now official... I have reached 2012 visitors to this blog, in the year 2012!

When I started developing for Apple's iOS platform a little less than 2 years ago, I had never thought that I would see the numbers that I have to date. Whether it's views on this blog, or sales for an individual application, I'm still taken aback, and humbled. Humbled, that people the world over see value in the applications I take the time to create. It's very reassuring, and lets me know that the ideas in my head can be transformed into viable and useful applications for such a wide audience.

Thanks for visiting this blog, and thanks for reading!

Cirqios... Price reduction!

Cirqios, my first iPad only game, has been given a price reduction!

Originally $2.99, the price is now set at $1.99!

If you haven't checked out Ciqios yet, and you consider yourself a gamer of any level (or you just enjoy games every now and then), you owe it to yourself to look at Cirqios on the iOS App Store.

What are you waiting for?

Prismium for Mac 1.1.0 ... Update out now!

If you have already purchased Prismium for Mac, your free 1.1.0 update is now available for download on the Mac App Store!

If you haven't already purchased Prismium on the Mac, now there's even more reason to do so... You can now make your own kaleidoscope wallpapers from images stored on your Mac's hard drive!

That's not all though... Prismum has also received a visual facelift! Now it's user interface is even more simple and elegant than it was previously.

With this update, Prismium is almost like an entirely new app! If you haven't already, check it out on the Mac App Store today!

Prismium for Mac 1.1.0

Prismium for Mac version 1.1.0 is the big shakeup that I mentioned earlier on this blog. It will allow you to choose between the already included kaleidoscope wallpapers, or you can transform any image on your Mac's hard drive to a unique kaleidoscope wallpaper.

Also, as a secondary, yet just as important feature addition, the user interface of Prismium for Mac has been greatly improved and simplified in version 1.1.0. It has been more stylized, and brings more focus to the wallpapers themselves.

All in all, I think Prismium for Mac 1.1.0 will be a great release.

Tuneful Tiger 1.4.0 out now!

It's been out for a few days now, but Tuneful Tiger 1.4.0 for iPhone and iPod touch is now available on the App Store. This new update is almost like a second platform for me... In the way that brings things up to where it's even easier to add exciting new features with little to no effort on my part. A few of these features, I already have fully planned out. All I have to do is add them in with updates! These features will be rolled out in the next few minor releases (i.e. 1.4.x).

I hope you are as excited as I am about the direction that Tuneful Tiger is headed in... It's come along way in aesthetics and functionality from the version 1.0.0 release, and is still one of my best selling iOS apps.

For those of you who haven't been following my Twiiter feed (You can easily do so by clicking on the follow button on this blog :) )...

Tuneful Tiger 1.4.0 brings an improved UI,  iOS 6 sharing improvements, iOS 6 compatibility, as well as iPhone 5 screen size optimization.

Also, Tuneful Tiger 1.4.0 sets the stage for some exciting new features that I will implement in future updates.

A Big Thank You!

I just want to take the time to thank my newest customer base... Mac users!

Unlike the iOS App Store, the Mac App Store is still a fairly new storefront. Because of that fact, I have a better opportunity to make a more recognizable name for myself than I do on the iOS App Store store.

Using common sense, it's fairly simple to realize that customer satisfaction is tops, because in a newer, less populated storefront, the scrutiny has a bigger long term effect.

So I thank my Mac customers for showing me I can make great Mac apps, by continuing to purchase my apps. And when there are shortcomings somewhere in an app, I want to thank you for telling me about them.

Customer feedback is very important to me, and it only serves to help me improve my apps with each new update I release.

Making progress!

Prismium 1.1.0 for the Mac is well underway! The user interface has received a major facelift, and the functionality is going to be much more robust!

I have basically finished re-integrating the standard built-in kaleidoscopic wallpapers, and now just have to add in the newest, and what will most likely become the most popular feature of Prismium, the ability to create your own kaleidoscopic images from photos and images on your Mac's hard drive.

I hope all you Prismium for Mac customers are as excited as I am... I truly feel this update will really catapult Prismium for Mac to the next level!

Thursday 18 October 2012

Prismium for Mac... Big Shakeup!

I am well aware that some of you may have downloaded Prismium for the Mac, expecting something more than what it actually is in its current state.

That is a more than reasonable reaction. When you are paying money for something that you think will be one thing, but turns out to be another, it can be disappointing.

I also realize however, that some of you got exactly what you expected when buying Prismium, most likely because you may have used the iOS version at some point.

Regardless, I am beginning work on a fairly sizeable update to the Mac version of Prismium. It will center more on creation than pre-made images.

Basically, the new update will allow you to use your own images, and make them into extremely personal kaleidoscopic wallpapers for your Mac.

The question may arise... Why do such a drastic change to the way Prismium fundamentally functions? The answer is simple... I always had wanted to implement Prismium in a way that allowed for user created kaleidoscopes, but up until recently, I had no knowledge of how to do so.

Now that I know how to do such thing, Prismium will ultimately become a better app. So hang in there... Prismium is about to get a major facelift on the Mac!

New Logo!

I figured since I have been developing applications for a little over a year now, that it was time for a newer, more dynamic company logo. And after lots of time spent conceptualizing and refining what I wanted my logo to look like, I have finally arrived at the final result!

You can see the new logo on my profile section of this blog, as well as my profile page on Twitter.

Following Suit

Just like Prismium for iOS, I will be rolling out updates to add additional language support to Prismium for the Mac. So far, Prismium has been doing fairly well, so I want to ensure the experience is the best it can be for as many people as possible. One of these updates, 1.0.1 is already in the pipeline awaiting approval before it gets released. This particular update adds French support. The other language updates will follow closely after 1.0.1.

Getting there...

I'm really getting close to finishing my next iOS app. The exact status? I just have to add in the code to detect Game Center achievements. And as you can now tell, my next iOS app is going to be a new game. Without revealing the name, or any other details, this up and coming new game will be iPad only. There may be a time down the road when I feel it makes sense to port to the iPhone/iPod touch, but I feel that I need to add more to my iPad only inventory. Also, the game was designed somewhat around the screen real estate available on the iPad, not the iPhone or iPod touch.

The next post about this game will be seen when the game has been completed, and is live on the App Store.

Sooper! - Update Strategy

For Sooper!, I will be adding the Facebook functionality that will be a part of iOS 6, once iOS 6 is finished and released to the general public.

Until that point, I will first release a series of language updates, to ensure that no matter your language of preference, the user experience will be the best it can be.

I think Sooper! will be fairly easy for me to polish and perfect with each new update I release, and will continue to gain value over time... all while staying at the low and accessible price point of 99¢.

Status Update...

Just wanted to give an update for the status of various apps and app updates:

Tuneful Tiger HD 1.3.2 has been submitted for approval. This version is the first in a series of language packs for the iPad version of Tuneful Tiger. In particular, this adds French language support.

Tuneful Tiger 1.3.5 has been submitted for approval. This version adds German language support to the list of supported languages for this app.

Cinematic Cheetah 1.3.1 is well underway. This long overdue update will add more language support. This update will specifically add French.

YWA Calculator HD 1.2.0 is nearly complete. It will feature a brand new user interface similar to the Mac version of YWA Calculator, making for an even more elegant and simplistic experience.

YWA Calculator for Mac version 1.0.5 has been submitted, and is waiting for review. This will add another language, Spanish.

TravelSpeakr 1.0.1 for Mac is in progress. This will fix bugs brought about from upgrading to Mountain Lion, as well as add the ability to detect your current location.

On both platforms, two new apps are at different stages. On iOS, a new app is still being worked on, but is nearing completion. On Mac OS, a new app is only waiting for approval. Of course, I'll post when these new apps go live.

So that's an update on where Hanley Solid Solutions is at right now. Thanks for reading!

New app now available - Sooper!

My newest app has been approved and is now live on the App Store. Sooper! is a new type of social networking app, one that aims to make it far less of a chore to share across all your favourite social avenues. It hooks into the native Mail client, the built in Twitter integration, as well as SMS/iMessage. You can choose to send a message through one specific service, or all of them at the same time. The best part has yet to even arrive... In the fall, when iOS 6 arrives, Sooper! will be getting an update to include the built in Facebook integration, making Sooper! a truly versatile social networking app. Sooper! - The Maximum Social!

New Idea Underway!

A new game idea surfaced today, and I have already gotten a lot done for it. It will take a while still, but the coding and concept is really taking shape. Why will it take longer? Because it will be my first iPad only game, and I want to make sure it is feature packed from the get-go. This includes Game Center support from the start, as well as a fairly refined user interface. I'm already fairly excited about this one!
I'll post status updates as I hit the milestones in the development cycle for this up and coming app!

Shout-Out!

I just wanted to thank the few who have taken the time to rate some of my apps. Every rating helps, and I appreciate you taking the time to provide me with valuable feedback. I also wanted to thank my loyal customer base, the customers that continue to use my apps after the initial installation, and continue to install new updates as I push them out over the App Store. It's these two groups that help make it clear to me that I'm doing things right, so thank you! As a reminder, if you have any issues with any of my apps, or any questions about how to use them, etc., feel free to comment on any of these blog posts... That's one of the reasons this blog is existence, as a means of communication between my customers and I. Thanks for reading!

I've made a decision!

I have decided to release my next app sooner than I originally planned. Initially, I was waiting till the release of iOS 6 in the fall, but I've decided that it won't be much of a chore to add an update later on to add the Facebook integration that will be present in iOS 6. Look for this new app to arrive in the very near future. I'll post again when it goes live on the App Store!

Prismium: Version # Revision

The next update version number will be 1.2.0 instead of 1.1.2. This is because of significant improvements to the In-App Purchase interface, as well as bug fixes relating to how purchased theme packs are handled. Also, all in-app purchases will be getting localizations.

Monday 25 June 2012

New In-App Purchase coming to Prismium!

In the next update to Prismium, another theme pack will become available for purchase. The Sunny Days theme pack will feature 20 kaleidoscopic wallpapers taken in the sunny outdoors. Look for this new theme pack in version 1.1.2. I'll post again when the update goes live. Thanks for reading!

What Mountain Lion means...

With the upcoming Mac OS X update, Mountain Lion, the Mac will receive tight integration with Twitter and Facebook. What this means for Hanley Solid Solutions is that some of my Mac apps (the ones that make sense) will receive updates allowing relevant content to shared via Twitter or Facebook.  Unlike iOS 6, Mountain Lion is coming sooner, in July. So stay tuned for Facebook/Twitter updates to some of my Mac apps after the final release of Mountain Lion. Thanks for reading!

What iOS 6 means...

For Hanley Solid Solutions, iOS 6 means the addition of Facebook integration into many of my apps. This I think, will be a very popular feature of the upcoming OS update, and I think a lot of my users will enjoy posting things to Facebook right from within my apps. Look for Facebook integration updates after the final release of iOS 6 in the Fall!

Tuneful Tiger for Mac: Next Update

The next update that will come out for Tuneful Tiger on the Mac will add iCloud synchronization, meaning all your copies of Tuneful Tiger for Mac, Tuneful Tiger HD for iPad, and Tuneful Tiger for iPhone and iPod touch will keep all data seamlessly synchronized between all devices. Look for the addition of iCloud in version 1.0.2!

TravelXpensr: Just got a little better!

TravelXpensr's update to version 1.0.1 is now out and ready for download on the App Store. This adds two more additional fields, that make all your travel logs slightly more personal and relevant to your individual travel experiences. That's what TravelXpensr is all about... Tracking travel expenses while also adding that personal touch... Your individual memories about a trip!

Status Update: ReNumberIT 1.1.0

I have finally figured out how to add Game Center achievements into ReNumberIT! The next thing is to finalize all the achievements (instead of just test achievements),  add them into ReNumberIT's code, and then do a final test run to ensure all achievements are achievable. After that, it will then be a matter of the typical submission / approval process. So that's where I am at as far as ReNumberIT's next major update. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more status updates as I reach the big milestones!

Second language pack released for Tuneful Tiger

Version 1.3.3 added Spanish language support to Tuneful Tiger for iPhone and iPod touch. Now Tuneful Tiger has an even broader appeal, and is better tailored for more international users. More language updates are still to come!

Tuneful Tiger HD Refreshed!

Version 1.3.0 is now out and brings with it a vastly improved user interface. It has taken some design cues from the Mac version as well as the iPhone/iPod touch version. One of the more exciting aspects about this new interface is how much easier it will be for me to introduce new languages in future updates. If you haven't downloaded your free update already, fire up the App Store on your iPad and get it now, to start enjoying a better music hunting experience on iPad!

A Good Start Already!

I have begun work on an exciting new app. I can't yet tell you, what it does, what it will be called, or anything like that at all. I can only tell you this is going to be an app that will bring a few firsts for Hanley Solid Solutions in terms of functionality and design. I have gotten quite far already, only having come up with the idea a day ago. I'm so excited, and I hope all my customers, or potential customers are excited as well! Thanks for reading!

Wednesday 16 May 2012

The work has begun!

I have started working on the next update to Tuneful Tiger HD, version 1.3.0. So far it has been coming along very nicely. As you may or may not know, version 1.3.0 is going to be a big overhaul in terms of the user interface and overall experience. Now that I have done a few Mac apps, and more iPad specific apps, I have gotten to the point where I have learned to better optimize my interface layouts for the iPad's bigger screen real estate. I'll admit, the interface that is currently in place for Tuneful Tiger HD is not all that nice looking, or even really practical. But like I said, I've learnt a great deal, and it's easy to fix with a simple update. Thanks for reading!

Tuesday 15 May 2012

Even better!

Now your Mac is an even better travel companion! TravelSpeakr, the best iOS app for updating friends and family about your travels, is now available for the Mac, only on the Mac App Store. Who ever said a great thing couldn't be made even better?

Finally!

After having some time for development work, I've finally been able to finish adding iCloud syncing to YWA Calculator for iPhone and iPod touch. The next update will be to YWA Calculator HD, enabling both apps to synchronize data over iCloud.

Sunday 6 May 2012

Next Language Pack for Tuneful Tiger!

The next update in a series of updates focusing on language localizations for Tuneful Tiger is now in the works! Version 1.3.3 will add Spanish language support to the already existing support for French and English. This won't take long at all to code and then submit, so stay tuned! I'm very excited to be finally focusing on adding more language support into Tuneful Tiger, my best selling app. It will certainly help to broaden the appeal of Tuneful Tiger, and improve upon the already easy-to-use interface. As I said in a previous post, this roadmap of adding languages will hopefully take Tuneful Tiger up to version 1.4.0.

TravelSpeakr for Mac... Completed and finally submitted!

TravelSpeakr for Mac has finally been finished, and has been submitted for final approval, which shouldn't take long at all. I'll post again when it goes live onto the Mac App Store!

Monday 30 April 2012

Status Update: TravelSpeakr for Mac

After now being finished with final exams, and school in general till next year, I've finally had some time to get back to development work. I've also been able to work out the one road block that was holding me back from going any further on TravelSpeakr specifically. However, the issue at hand has been fully cleared up (it was a coding decision issue), and I am now back into full throttle on TravelSpeakr. It should hopefully get finished coding in the next few days. I'll post again when it gets submitted, and yet again when it goes live.

BookBasketer: New upload feature in version 1.0.4!

It also makes for a great potential opportunity for those of you who are looking for a gently used textbook at an affordable price. All books get uploaded to: bookbasketermarketplace.blogspot.com

Next focus for Tuneful Tiger on iPhone + iPod touch...

I'm going to start experimenting with trying to add localizations to Tuneful Tiger for the iPhone and iPod touch. If it turns out to be relatively easy to implement, I'll slowly begin to rollout updates for localizations. My plan is that these updates would take the version number up to 1.4.0.

I've got enough features baked into this app for now, so I feel it only makes sense to focus on accommodating more languages next.

Stay tuned! I'll post more when language updates go live.

Full Steam Ahead!

Tuneful Tiger for Mac has been submitted and should be released to the Mac App store relatively soon! Also, I have begun work on yet another Mac OS app. The next app? TravelSpeakr for Mac! This is another app that seems to make sense for me to bring to the Mac platform. Many people often take their laptops with them when they travel, so why not improve upon the way a laptop can send a travel update to friends and family as well? Even if it's not a mobile Mac, the benefits are still easy to see; Fast and Easy travel updates with only a few clicks!

I'm hard at work on my next Mac app... Tuneful Tiger! Now you'll also be able to track songs to buy on your Mac as well. The best feature of this upcoming app? The price! It will be the same low price that it is on the iOS App Store, 99 cents! I'm already far into coding for this app, so not much longer until I submit it for approval. After that gets done, it won't be long before it gets released to the Mac App Store! I'll post again when it does in fact go live on the Mac App Store. Thanks for reading!

Status update on next iOS app...

The next iOS app that I have been working on is coming along very nicely. It is most likely going to be the finest polished app, and most stylized that I will have released. It will also include a fair amount of functionally right from the start. Why do I say this? Because with the number of apps I have released, I have learned a great deal about programming for iOS. Needless to say, I have begun to pick up many useful tricks and skills that I can apply to every new app I release in the future. With each new app I have released, I have learnt more and more about the inner workings of iOS. No method is better for teaching yourself, then learning by doing. Thanks for reading!

First Mac App now live!

Just like on the iPhone and iPad versions, YWA Calculator stores data for 8 courses in each year, keeping a total of 4 years worth of data stored. YWA Calculator is especially useful for students who are in professional programs that require a certain yearly weighted average to progress to the next year (i.e. Engineering).

An additional direction of the Hanley Solid Solutions brand...

I will be adding another facet to the Hanley Solid Solutions brand... I will soon be developing apps for the Mac App Store in addition to my continuing development of iOS applications. This not only broadens my audience considerably, but offers my existing iOS customers who own a Mac the option to purchase the Mac version of an app they enjoy on iOS. Especially with iCloud moving ahead as a full force initiative at Apple, this would mean my customers could get a truly integrated experience across all Apple devices, laptops, desktops, and iOS devices alike! And with the coming release of OS X Mountain Lion this summer, and the current version, Lion, I don't think I could've picked a better time to add Mac development to my line of work. Thanks for reading!

Stay tuned for all things Hanley Solid Solutions!

Simul-Search + ... Plussed!

Simul-Search + 1.1.0 update is now live! (it was released yesterday) This update is a big improvement to the previous user experience. Although it takes slightly longer to switch between the different search sites and their results, the improvement in speed and reliability vastly outweighs the small time difference in loading a search's results. Now that the very core functionality has been perfected and made truly reliable, it is now possible for me to add additional features without worrying about making the app more unstable. All in all, version 1.1.0 is a big milestone for this particular app. I hope you enjoy the smoother user experience!

Stay tuned for updates on all things Hanley Solid Solutions!

Update on Simul-Search + status...

Just an update on where I'm at for Simul-Search +. The next update will not be version 1.0.4 like I had originally planned. Instead, it will be version 1.1.0. The reason for this change of plans is because the next update will substantially improve the reliability and speed of the app. It will also bring a completely redesigned user experience. This new user experience will be much less busy than the current method used, and is much more efficient and sensible. Stay tuned for when this update goes live, which should be a reality in the very near future.

Your opinions!

If you enjoy using one of my apps, please speak up and leave a rating and a comment on the App Store. Even if you think something might be able to use some improvement, don't hesitate to voice your opinion.  On something like the App Store, ratings of any kind help me to gain a wider recognition and an expanded audience, which in turn leads to me releasing many more updates that add new features and improve existing ones. Thanks for reading!

All about speed!

I will be releasing a few updates in the near future (not sure how many in total exactly), that will be focused on improving the performance of Simul-Search +. For those of you that don't know what simul-search + is, it is my multi-engine web search app, that allows you to search across 4 different popular search sites, with one search bar alone. It is quite the handy app for those that do a lot of research and have to compare results from multiple searches to see which source is best to use in say a report. However, it still lags a little bit in the area concerning speed / performance. That is why I will be reworking this application, to bring it up to its full potential. I'm doing this in small steps in order to make the transition easier for you the user. Thanks for your understanding and patience! I'll do a new blog post when each new update for this app gets released. Stay tuned!

Big News!

Tuneful Tiger 1.2.1 and Tuneful Tiger HD 1.2.0 have just been released, bringing iCloud synchronization between both apps as well as other copies of themselves. This is quite a big milestone for both of these apps. Now these apps are the most versatile music tracking apps on the App Store! The upload should be live soon if it isn't at the moment. It takes a while for updates to trickle out internationally so please be patient, and keep checking the App Store for your update. If you're not yet a part of the Tuneful Tiger experience, now is the perfect time to download either one or both of these apps! Enjoy! Follow me on Twitter! -> Username:HanleySolidSlns

Trying to sell textbooks, students?

Been there, done that. The task of selling textbooks is not an easy one. You want to get as much money back for them as possible, and get rid of them as soon as possible. Yet, many university bookstores that offer to sell them for you take large cuts. Even other outlets that offer to buy back your books may not pay as much as you would have liked. That's why I created BookBasketer. It attempts to change all the norms when it comes to selling textbooks. Instead of selling through a retailer, or participating in a buy back program, why not sell to your peers? Not only are you likely to have more wiggle room for bargaining your prices, but you would also be helping out your academic equals. They would be getting a textbook for cheaper than full price, and you would be getting a reasonable amount of money back relative to what you originally spent on the book. It's a win win situation! So, if you're ready to give a kick to the old way of selling textbooks, check out BookBasketer for iPhone + iPod touch, only on the App Store.

Visually Uplifting

Not sure if any of you YWA Calculator users have noticed or not (I'm sure you have), but I have been slowly updating the look and feel for both YWA Calculator and YWA Calculator HD. YWA Calculator for the iPhone + iPod touch has already received it's new launch image, while YWA Calculator is getting an update in the near future to bring it a similar looking launch image. In previous updates, both got a new set of background images to replace the old stock black background. The next natural flow is to update both app's icons. Once that is complete, my two oldest apps will have transitioned into more visually up to date entities. Don't worry though, with this transition, the user experience will still be the one you have come to know and enjoy.

These two apps are what have essentially been my introductory apps to new customers, so I feel that it's only appropriate to show them some attention. They introduce customers to my other apps, and thus are a key part of  Hanley Solid Solutions beginnings. Stay tuned to this blog, as well as my Twitter feed! I'll post again when the YWA Calculator HD update goes live, and when the icon updates are coming.

Apptical Albatross : A smarter bird!

Among the other updates that are in the pipeline and not very far from release is Apptical Albatross 1.1.0. This brings some intelligence to this Apptical bird. Much like Tuneful Tiger and Cinematic Cheetah, you can now see more information on the main screen (The table of catches). The app's name and price is now displayed, making it even easier to navigate back to that one app that you were about to cross off your "To Buy" list. Keep your eyes peeled... I'll post on my Twitter feed when the update goes live!

Cinematic Cheetah 1.1.3 : A better hunter!

An update for Cinematic Cheetah is soon to be released. Version number 1.1.3 will allow you to search the iTunes store for any of the movies that you are tracking. This helps Cinematic Cheetah become an even better hunter, bringing you one step closer to getting that movie you want so badly! Watch my Twitter feed for when this update goes live!

A Synchronized Pair!

Tuneful Tiger for iPhone + iPod Touch, and Tuneful Tiger HD will be getting their next updates released at the same time. Why is this? Because in their next updates, they will have the ability to synchronize song data between each other and multiple copies of themselves via iCloud.

This, for me is exciting! As I already stated in another post, Tuneful Tiger (the iPhone + iPod touch version) is one of my best selling apps, and one of my most transformed apps since it's first version, 1.0.0. With these coming updates, both versions of Tuneful Tiger will include some of the most useful features available in iOS 5 (Twitter functionality, iCloud functionality).

As far as the respective update versions, Tuneful Tiger for iPhone + iPod touch will be at 1.2.1, while Tuneful Tiger HD will be at 1.2.0.

I think with everything that will have been added up to the soon to be released updates, both Tuneful Tiger for iPhone + iPod touch and Tuneful Tiger HD will be the two most versatile music tracking apps on the App Store. I'll post again when the updates get released. Stay tuned as usual to this blog, and my Twitter feed!

Tuneful Tiger 1.2.0: Features

So what's new in this version of Tuneful Tiger? The main addition is the ability to search for a song on the built in iTunes music store. Currently it searches by song name only, but in a future update, you will be able to search by either the song name, artist name, or album name.

One thing that's sort of related to this update but sort of not is what is next in the very near future in terms of an update for Tuneful Tiger. In version 1.2.1, I will be adding iCloud syncing functionality. What this means is that if you have Tuneful Tiger running on say an iPod touch, and also on your iPhone, you will be able to enter the information for a song on one device, and have it automatically update itself onto the other device. Look for this to arrive very soon! Stay tuned!

Tuneful Tiger is now at version 1.2.0!

I'd just like to acknowledge this milestone. Tuneful Tiger is certainly my most transformed app, coming a long way from it's 1.0.0 release. Not to say my other apps haven't received the same amount of major and minor updates. I just feel that Tuneful Tiger is the most special case. To this day, it is one of my best selling applications. I just want to thank everyone who has been with me since the 1.0.0 release. You put your faith in me as a developer that I would continue to improve upon the features and user experience offered by Tuneful Tiger. I appreciate the support a lot! In many ways, I feel Tuneful Tiger was my first real success, something that told me I can make great apps for a variety of people. It also helped give me that initial recognition I needed to increase my number of customers. So once again, a big thanks to those of you who have been with me since the 1.0.0 release, and continue on with me as I continue improving upon it with each new update. And for those of you who are relatively new customers, a big thanks to you as well. You keep reassuring me that I keep doing things the right way.

TravelSpeakr 1.1.0 updates out now!

For those of you who have already bought either TravelSpeakr for iPad or TravelSpeakr Mini for iPhone + iPod touch, version 1.1.0 is now ready for you to download! For the iPad version, the method for recording audio has been drastically improved in terms of user interface, and anyone running the app on an iPad 2 can now use the built in cameras to snap a picture on the fly, right from within the app. For the iPhone and iPod touch version, users are now able to select one photo for attaching to their travel report (from either their photo library, or by using the cameras on supported devices), as well as record and attach an audio message. Both versions also bring a more polished look and feel to the table. If you haven't already bought TravelSpeakr (for either iPad or iPhone/iPod touch), these new versions should definitely make it even more worth your while. If you're an avid traveller, what are you waiting for? Check it out!

Your opinions really do matter to me!

If you have downloaded one of my apps, and you find it really useful, or find something that needs fixing / improvement, please leave a rating and a comment on the App Store! It helps me get a better picture of my audience, and results in a better user experience for all my customers. Not only that, it helps me gain notoriety, which in turn means I can gather resources necessary for tailoring to a wider audience. Thanks for reading!

Tuneful Tiger 1.2.0 In Progress!

The next fairly major update to Tuneful Tiger for iPhone and iPod touch is in progress! It is well underway, and will likely go live relatively soon. The major feature in this update is the ability to search for any one of your prey in the iTunes music store. I'll post again when it goes live!
